Sitting here wondering if I'm Pollyanna or Eeyore - Day 94: Off to the East

Off to Bondi Junction to see The LEGO Movie, which was WONDERFUL, followed by lunch in the Westfield foodcourt with Justin which was great ...

Then Rachel sent me a gorgeous shot of Jordan ...

And lastly a lovely night in with Steve ... and some wine ...

Here's a wonderful shot of Zara with one of her animal friends ...

Sitting here wondering if I'm Pollyanna or Eeyore - Day 25: Dinner with Aidan and Greg

A lovely chilled night of sitting on the balcony talking over candlelight with Aidan and Greg, eating Indian food and enjoying the beautiful breeze ... and mysterious light show from the City.

Perfect.

And one of the music artists I featured in the blog favourited my tweet! Yay!

Swimming Pretty in the Glass-Half-Full 2012: Day 365 - Exercised at last!

Quiet morning then off to IKEA for the first time in 18 months to buy a Benno DVD rack - no red or silver ones anymore! NOOOOOO! - then a nap, some blogging (Steve went home for a little while to get some errands done) and then I went for a walk with Waz around Sydney Park.

Then I walked up to get Indian food for dinner about 9, and Steve and I had dinner, ate a fruit mince pie/ice cream for dessert and watched most of The Three Amigos.

Swimming Pretty in the Glass-Half-Full 2012: Day 194 - Tired ... so home to ...

Eat Indian (with my housemate Aidan) ...

Not an actual photo - our food was in plastic takeaway containers - but yummy nonetheless (image via  skisdang.com)

Watched a new show, Continuum which was very good. (Read my review here.)

Swimming Pretty in the Glass-Half-Full 2012: Day 124 - Thalis!

Off to the movies at Dendy Opera Quays to see the lovely French movie, Delicacy, with the adorable Audrey Tautou and it was one of the most exquisitely perfect movies I have ever seen. Beautiful and heartfelt.

Headed home via Jaipur Maharajah restaurant near Central and some awesomely good Thalis. YUM!

Swimming Pretty in the Glass-Half-Full 2012: Day 85 - Quiet day at my boyfriend's case

Quiet day napping and trying to blog (mostly unsuccessfully) while my gorgeous guy worked away.

Finished the day off with Indian takeaway at my place but stopped in first to fix the seat on Fahmi's bike and unsuccessfully try to take photos of his cat, Simone.

Yep lots of "unsuccessfulness" today.

At least it was relaxing...

Swimming Pretty in the Glass-Half-Full 2012: Day 22 (Sunday 22 January) -

My gorgeous guy and I went to see Women on the 6th Floor at Cinema Paris in the Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park. It was as great as expected, and we stopped off at Maya restaurant for thalis (a selection of small servings of various curries, raita etc) for dinner on the way there.

Mango lahsi

A really lovely and romantic date night.

Hands Full of Glitter and Tofu : 2011 Day 355 (Wednesday 21 December) - Catching up with Ian

Dinner at Tamana's Diner on King Street with Ian.

A lovely long chat with my dear friend, after some last minute Christmas shopping, and followed by a walk home (most of the way with Ian who was parked down King Street).

It was lovely to see him just before Christmas.

Since it is mandatory that everything this week have a Christmas flavour, here's a gratuitous shot of India celebrating Christmas. You're welcome.

Hands Full of Glitter and Tofu : 2011 Day 231 - Don't Rain On My TGIF Marsala

So another unremarkable busy day at work, in a cubicle no where near as nice as yesterdays' newly constructed IKEA effort, with breakfast (toast and juice) and lunch (less than healthy Asian food but what the hell!) bought, and dinner too (my 3rd lot of Indian food for the week, at my gorgeous guy's request, prompting his enquiry : 'Are you sick of Indian?' Am I what?! Of course not, I doubt that's even possible for me, thank you), and all seemed lovely and rosy till I attempted to walk home in the rain that had been falling all day, and my umbrella blew out not once but multiple times...

.... it must die. Luckily for it in the short term, the rain held off again till I got home so it has lived to serve another day.

Hands Full of Glitter and Tofu : 2011 Day 228 (Tuesday 16 August) - Falling Skies in my Living Room

A free night where I didn't have to be anywhere with anyone (my first preference is to see my gorgeous guy especially since he's now in Sydney during the week rather than Bathurst but a night to ourselves now and then is healthy too) so my housemate and I watched the final two episodes of Falling Skies and what a humdinger they were! More sterling character development, gasp-inducing plot twists and state of the art CGI, but most importantly yummy Indian food shared with my house mate, Aidan, who's become a very good friend.

A most excellent night of house mate bonding and pop culture goodness.

Hands Full of Glitter and Tofu : 2011 Day 224 (Friday 12 August) - Mixed Bag

Today was a big day for my sweet adorable niece, Zara, who had to have a hernia operation. No, she hasn't been lifting too many heavy objects when she shouldn't be, although stack too many LEGO blocks together and they can weigh a ton, but rather it's a condition left over from birth. Apparently it's a fairly common thing and they have to wait till the child turns 2 to operate. Thankfully it all went smoothly, Zara came through beautifully, and all is well (the photo is of Zara waiting in the hospital's play room)

... and on a light and silly TGIF note, here's a sign my gorgeous guy spotted in the window of a shop in Dulwich Hill.... oh yeah we will be signing up! Haha....NO.

But that was not all the quirky stuff we saw today. On the way to dinner (see below), we saw a sign for a very interesting opera... all I can say is reinforce the floors guys!

... instead of seeing Rise of the Planet of the Apes tonight (last minute change of plans that occurred when Fahmi and I were in line), Fahmi, my gorgeous guy and I met up with Warren for Indian food at Jaipur Masala near Central, which made for a quick trip home. A perfect way to finish the week - my favourite food and good friends, and my guy.

Fahmi and Warren

My gorgeous guy and I

Rosewater Lahsi - YEAH!
