Sitting here wondering if I'm Pollyanna or Eeyore - Day 342: Aidan, storms and Centrelink

Aidan headed off overseas today but not before shouting me to a yummy breakfast at the Garden Cafe. Then home to write and apply for jobs before heading into Centrelink with the train arriving just in the nick of time as rain started to fall ... and Steve came over for dinner that night and stayed the night. Yay!

After a chilled day at Steve's place, back home to watch 2 eps of Zombie Nation with Aidan and eat pizza and drink wine (given to Steve by his friend who has a GREAT sense of humour) ...

Sitting here wondering if I'm Pollyanna or Eeyore - Day 340: No picnic, lots of shopping

We cancelled the picnic based on cataclysmic storm predictions for today which as it turned out to be not much of anything. Instead of torrential rain and hail we got, well, blue skies and soft breezes, perfect picnic weather. Colour me very unimpressed but good side of it all was Steve was exhausted, we got a day of Christmas shopping in at broadway, and a chilled night with Aidan and Greg to mark our annual housesmates Christmas dinner and present exchange which was wonderful.

And there's always next year ... the picnic shall rise again ...

Sitting here wondering if I'm Pollyanna or Eeyore - Day 338: Decorating the tree!

I got all the ornaments sorted out early in the day and then Steve came over that night to put on the lights and tinsel and then Steve, Aidan and I all picked an ornament to put on the tree, all while carols are playing ... so Christmassy perfect ...
