Sitting here wondering if I'm Pollyanna or Eeyore - Day 276: Movies and fried rice and chocolate

Off to Dendy Newtown to see The Skeleton Twins which was WONDERFUL, followed by lunch at Happy Chef and a visit to Communicare for my monthly check-in then home.

Then Steve came over that night and bought chocolate! YUM!!!

Sitting here wondering if I'm Pollyanna or Eeyore - Day 200: Chilled day with Steve and pizza!

Lovely day with Steve - stayed at my place overnight and then drove via a fab new cafe in May Street, St Peters ... food was delish and hot chocolate perfect ...

Got Crust pizza for dinner which I gallantly went and got on a freezing cold night ... followed by an old Haigh's chocolate easter egg which we had fun with before devouring it LOL ... and after watching ep 5 of Ladies of Letters, caught the last hour or so of The Wizard of Oz which is always fabulous ...

Sitting here wondering if I'm Pollyanna or Eeyore - Day 121: BUSY DAY!

Walking in the morning with Waz ...

Then Helen sent me an example of Zara's fabulous colouring in which got them free tickets to see Muppets Most Wanted ...

Then Kerry sent the 10 days til Ooro-vision text!!!

Then I sent this tweet from train on the way home from work ...

Had some chocolate and wine with Aidan at the end of a very long day ...

And finally in early hours of the morning, when insomnia struck again, I had this very affirming conversation with Irma from Sweden via Twitter ... so worth it really if I could help her ...

Sitting here wondering if I'm Pollyanna or Eeyore - Day 103: Awake! Awake!

GREAT night's sleep and felt awesome for once (stress has affected my sleep patterns deleteriously of late alas) ...

Had thrown back out last night so on Aspro Clears and walking around VERY CAREFULLY but still  managing to joke about it on Twitter ...

And ate some of the Easter eggs Jane gave me and Joan at work last Thursday while Steve went off to ACO with Alan (he bought me lots of groceries when he came over for dinner that night which was SO sweet) ...

Holding the Reins of the Runaway Extrovert 2013: Day 297 - Disappointment, chocolate and Thai

Busy day vacuuming and re-arranging boxes in wardrobe - had been walking through it over last 2 days too and culled lots of paper and rearranged lots of stuff; felt so good to get so much done! - but day marred by ABC Dig telling me "thank you but no thank you"and not even an interview so did what anyone would do and ate the Cadbury choc bunny I found in one of the boxes. Ah comfort food, we love thee!

Went walking with Waz and then as Steve came back from Bathurst tonight, he picked me up and we went and had dinner at Sun Thai and I stayed the night. Lots of huggles!

He looks SOOO evil ... tasty but EVIL

Holding the Reins of the Runaway Extrovert 2013: Day 92 - Kill the bunny!

Caved tonight.

After only 2 days in my possession, I smashed in the face of the 1kg white chocolate bunny and Aidan and I ate it up.

Apparently the face freaked Aidan out - I thought it looked extrovert-like and fun but Aidan thought it looked like the rabbit had been frozen in maniacal mid-laugh.

Fair enough - only solution is to eat the face!

YUM.

Swimming Pretty in the Glass-Half-Full 2012: Day 83 - TGIF me!

Yes it's TGIF.

So naturally in-between working hard, we did a comparison taste test of Crunchie bars and Violet Crumble bars. The winner? Crunchie which we all (bar one - Tracy preferred Violet Crumble) decided was sweeter and less bitter than its rival.

I did feel vaguely guilty since I grew up eating Violet Crumbles but you can't argue with taste buds...

Well you could but it wouldn't be much of a conversation.

Swimming Pretty in the Glass-Half-Full 2012: Day 13 - Pizza and Wine Baby!

After all my talk about the joys of healthy eating and exercise yesterday - today I eat pizza, drink wine and have chocolate! Oh yum! YUM! Great TGIF present to me.

Even better my guy is coming home today so I get to see him! Yay!!

SAD NEWS - I got the call today that my car is being written off. It came days earlier than I'd expected, and frankly left me feeling quite upset. Yes, I cried. It may seem silly to cry about a car but it represents so much of my life. 15 years of going everywhere in it - lots happened in it from having to move in a hurry in 1997 (on the day I got it actually!) when the couple I was living with's marriage collapsed in spectacular style to driving up and down to my mum and dad's a few times to going on dates with my lovely guy. It is a repository of memories and that's why its loss upsets me so much.

I have little recourse to it being written off as under a new NSW law passed in August last year, any car under 15 years is deemed to be a statutory write-off and can only be put back on the road with the RTA's say so, and only after applying in writing to them. My car is 14 3/4 so if the theft had happened in three months I would have been fine! I could have negotiated if my car was older but given its age my options are limited to none. It's this loss of control that angers me most - all the hassle, expense and so on, and I have no way to influence it at all.

It's left a stew of emotions and frankly if I could get those thieves why Id... well this cat sums it up nicely...

Thanks to Rose at work for this gem.
