Sitting here wondering if I'm Pollyanna or Eeyore - Day 77: Sunrise and Jason Lee

Started the day off as normal with Waz and was met by beautiful sunrise on way home down Fahmi's street ...

Then met Jason Lee, home for 6 days from Afghanistan, for a quick 1.5 hour (3pm-4.30pm) gelato, shop at T2, Magnation and Foodworks catch up, the length and breadth of King Street.

Fab to see him!

Holding the Reins of the Runaway Extrovert 2013: Day 255 - Dinner with Steve

My guy came back from Bathurst tonight - yay! - and he took me on another "date night" (ie he paid for dinner part of his gracious sweet generous care of me in my unemployment) to Pastizzi Cafe ... delicious and so wonderful to just spend time with him.

Holding the Reins of the Runaway Extrovert 2013: Day 150 - Burritos baby!

Got the train to Macdonaldtown, picked up my Entertainment Weekly mags at Magnation, grabbed some books and a David Tennant as 10th Doctor Who bobble head  at the Arts Supplies store, some CDs at HUM (The Great Gatsby soundtrack and Kaki King's newie Glow) and signed up for a new internet plan with Telstra.

Phew!

Then met my beautiful guy for dinner at a new place called the Beach Burrito Company. Quite easy Mexican and a fun atmosphere. Definitely go back.

Swimming Pretty in the Glass-Half-Full 2012: Day 301 -

Two things today! Yes two things worthy of being immortalised in a blog ...

Firstly we tried a new cafe - Peas way down Mitchell road - OK not way down but almost at the end of it - and the food was delicious! Truly, utterly YUM. I had a French beef burger with brie, mushrooms, and sour cream and it was so flavourful, as was the raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake that followed it.

Will we be back? As sure as night follows day which follows night ... you get the picture.

Then a brief break in the afternoon - hello nap! Hello Andrew - before going out to Bench Wine Bar in Newtown for Warren's birthday where I got to see Jason and Melinda, and Warren and Leith, friends of Waz's I hadn't seen since the San Francisco trip in October 2009.

We talked lots, drank cocktails, Warren spilt an Long Island Tea down one of the legs of my jeans (fun! No, not really) and then adjourned to Matee across the road for their fabulous Turkish food, more wine,  and a fabulous Black Forest Gateau that we had to wait in line to purchase earlier in the day at Haberfield. Yes we waited in line at Papa's an amazing cake shop that is VERY popular!

The line to get into the cake shop including the woman directly in front who was waiting across the road with us for the walk signal, heard us talking getting a cake and bolted once the car cleared to beat us into the line. Hilarious and pathetic all at once.

Swimming Pretty in the Glass-Half-Full 2012: Day 294 - Movie and dinner with Bridget

Out and about on King Street with my gorgeous friend Bridget (who I met via a course at work) and Fahmi and my gorgeous guy.

Started off with drinks at Zanzibar on the roof ... then dinner at Moo Burgers ... and finally saw The Words at Dendy in cinema 5 (same one as last night when we saw "Safety Not Guaranteed"!) ... oh and caught some great street art along the way in the back streets of Newtown ...
