Sitting here wondering if I'm Pollyanna or Eeyore - Day 269: Lots of Twitter activity, cheesecake and footpath drawings

Angry at the government's newly-passed draconian security laws, people created the #HeyASIO hashtag and much merriment ensued ... and it rained again ...

Started the day off with walking and the capturing of a drawing of a penis on the footpath ...

After noon tea and fab conversation at Cosmopolitan Cafe in Bondi Junction with Justin ...

And the dinner at Moo Burgers with Ian, Ingo, Waz and my gorgeous guy ...

Sitting here wondering if I'm Pollyanna or Eeyore - Day 155

Fahmi's actual birthday today so we went to see The Fault in our Stars at a preview session at Dendy Newtown followed by a yummy dinner at Mooburgers courtesy of Steve (I paid for the tickets although Fahmi, generous to a fault paid for pre-movie drinks and cinema chocolates).

Sitting here wondering if I'm Pollyanna or Eeyore - Day 101: Lunch up with Susie!

Longe overdue, wonderful, fabulous lunch with Susie at Moo Burgers (her treat which was so generous and lovely), where we talked about her trip to Chicago (from where the Fanny May chocolates - below - were procured), my job situation and talk heart to heart like we always do.

Finished up with gelato and a lovely long walk along King Street.

Such a wonderful catch up!

Our art installation

Susie loves it ...

REALLY loves it!

Steve and I had a few tonight after Thai from Doytao Thai while watching some fabulous TGIF SBS docos

Holding the Reins of the Runaway Extrovert 2013: Day 339 - Goodbye Aidan, Hello Fahmi

Spent the day partly with Aidan who was home getting ready to fly out to Ireland for his annual trip home that night. We went to the gym about noon, I swam and he used the Nordic trainer and then  he bought me lunch (a yummy Greek chicken wrap) at Annie's Cafe. Delish! (I even got some of his chips that he had with his burger which was a nice treat).

Then I farewelled him ...

... and walked up to Newtown where I bought two books with the $80 Better Read Than Dead gift voucher Fahmi bought me - a book on Tin Tin and a book on tough men in TV that I'd ordered - before having dinner at Moo Burgers and then seeing The Spectacular Now at Dendy.

Lovely night with a very good friend.

Holding the Reins of the Runaway Extrovert 2013: Day 305 - Off to the "flicks" with Ian and Ingo and my gorgeous guy

Off to my cinema home away from home Dendy to see Blue Jasmine.

Alas the night didn't start all that well when I found out my free tickets for renewing my membership lapse after 3 months and so no free tickets anymore. I calmly but with emphasis pointed out all the times the projector hadn't worked lately and that I was almost done going there and the manager did offer me one free ticket. Better than nothing so I took it but I shall be seeing more and more movies at Event because I can get cheap tickets there for a start ALL THE TIME.

Anyway that mess over, I loitered in a Better Read Than Dead (photographed some books I'd like to buy later on) and HUM, waiting for Ian, Ingo and Steve to arrive ...

What?! NOOOOO ... how dare this musical schlock master defile ABBA!

Had dinner at MooBurgers afterwards which was YUMMY.

And Zara, God bless her, pulled a silly face for me! She's so funny!

Swimming Pretty in the Glass-Half-Full 2012: Day 294 - Movie and dinner with Bridget

Out and about on King Street with my gorgeous friend Bridget (who I met via a course at work) and Fahmi and my gorgeous guy.

Started off with drinks at Zanzibar on the roof ... then dinner at Moo Burgers ... and finally saw The Words at Dendy in cinema 5 (same one as last night when we saw "Safety Not Guaranteed"!) ... oh and caught some great street art along the way in the back streets of Newtown ...
