365 Pink Feather Boas All in a Row - Day 190 : Anatomy of a Move Part 2 : More Books?!
I had today off ostensibly to look at some apartments that the Sydney Park Village real estate powers that be had offered to my house mate and I so we would not be homeless after they sold our existing apartment out from under us. My dear gorgeous boyfriend had offered to get me a fabulously well apppointed fridge box but even with funky curtains, and a bidet, I doubted it would cut it as far as lifestyle expectations are concerned. So I politely declined and took the day off to check out apartments that weren't made of cardboard and located perilously close to kerbs and passersby.
At the last minute, the agent pulled the plug and the appointments were moved to Saturday. So what's a gay boy with a day off and time to spare gonna do? Why go shopping naturally! Like there was another option! I mean like, um packing... anyway, I headed off for a fun morning of shopping at Westfield Bondi Junction with my walking buddy, Fahmi (no, we didn't exercise that day... navigating Westfield's chic, uber-huge complex at Bondi Junction is a marathon in itself, beautifully attired of course). After a yummy-ish brunch at le Pain Quotidien, we hit Borders, JB Hi-Fi before heading home via the Bookshop at Darlinghurst (specialising in non-XXX rated gay books, videos...in other works they are not a sex shop but a gay-oriented regular bookshop) and Berkelouw, a funky bookshop just down the road on Oxford Street, Paddington...
Yes I am quite mad thank you...... I shop well but I am stark raving bonkers.....
