If Friday was a kindler, gentler work day, then today the bitch was back and how!
I ran from pillar to post (after catching the 6.40 train - ugh!) - difficult where I work as we have lots of pillars but not that many posts, if any; yes I know a lamentable oversight given the liberal use of cliches in my blog especially - answering emails, welcoming new starters (though one guy was very cute so that wasn't too hard!), filing things, picking stuff up, organising stuff (see the sophisticated To Do list on the napkin below, scribbled during a planning meeting at one of the coffee shops on campus) and trying desperately hard to play catch up after being away for so long.
I did, however, manage to get my cartoon-a-day calendar out of the box - last year's is still sitting in my walk-in wardrobe cruelly neglected, and criminally unused - which I regard as a some sort of minor triumph. It goes to show just how low my bar of fulfillment is at work!
Thankfully the night was chilled and unevenful and consisted of some pointless internet surfing, TV watching and sleeping...... yes call the Thrill Police.. I am guilty as charged....
