365 Pink Feather Boas All in a Row - Day 16 (Saturday 16 January 2010) : IKEA We Worship Thee Once Again
I always love going to IKEA.
I may not like the slow, crawling drive along Parramatta Road, or the search for a parking spot at Rhodes Shopping Centre (today we found one almost straight away.. .a miracle.... call the Vatican!) but I LOVE IKEA.
I enjoyed catching my friend Warren today and helping him look through some rental properties in an apartment complex near where I live. Catching up with him was, as always a real pleasure.
But I LOVE IKEA.
No one should be offended by that - the thing that IKEA and I have going is special, deep and true, and it's almost impossible for me to enter the store and leave with nothing. It's like Aladdin's Cave. El Dorado. The Promised Land.
We were ostensibly there to check out wardrobes and buffets for my beautiful guy, which we duly did, and left with many photos and brochures and some excellent ideas. But we also left with a Bexsbo (a red bookcase like structure for next to my bed), two red containers, some candles and a wish for another Benno DVD/CD tower that I will like realise this coming weekend.
After that all wonderful IKEAness, what could be better? Dinner with my gorgeous man at Posh Spice, our favourite in Newtown that's what...lovely Indian food (especially welcome after a week of chicken soup and noodles!), an intimate corner all to ourselves, some yummy Aja wine, and lots of gazing into each other's eyes.
Yes I love IKEA but I adore my darling man, and every last second I spend with him.
