365 Pink Feather Boas All in a Row - Day 17 : Backwards Trash and the Union of Steaks

I slept in today! Yes oh bliss and boundless delight....

After a healthy breakfast of pancakes with sugar and lemon - lemon is a fruit and is very slimming; ergo the meal was, in fact, healthy and I expect a call of congraulations from Jenny Craig any second now! - my beautiful guy and I set off for Reverse Garbage, a great place to source second hand materials for turning into fabulous Fair Day props, which is why we went there. There's also a fun market attached to it that primarily sells whole organic foods, food by niche producers, and all sorts of interesting second hand goods (including Smurfs that dtae from my childhood so I grabbed a few). It reminds me very much of the trippy-hippy markets up on the far North Coast that I love, and I ended up picking up three more original smurfs for my collection, along with some oversized wooden coathangers that we'll likely use on the tent at Fair Day in a way yet to be determined....

Dropped back at home, I napped while my beautiful guy went back to his place for nap and some household chores - yes exciting and thrilling are words that sprung to my mind too! - and then finally, and with some relief, pulled down my naked Christmas tree and packed it and the lights etc away for the year. It would have gone down sooner but for the sickness that took up so much time in the last 2 weeks, and had me sprawled on my back watching endless episodes of Dollhouse and Big Bang Theory.

Finished a very chilled day off by going to The Union for a steak dinner with my beautiful guy and my good friend, Fahmi, drinking some lemon, lime and sodas and then walking home arm in arm with my gorgeous man before going home and facing the inevitable fact that work was coming back around again tomorrow morning and what's more, they expected me to work an entire 5 days this week!

I know - the horror! Oh, the horror!
