365 Pink Feather Boas All in a Row - Day 13 : Three Pretty Silver Discs
So yet another day on my sick bed....
Good news is that my throat is now playing meek and mild, all sugar and spice, and all things nice, and not Shiva the Destroyer, which is a fundamentally warm and cuddly thing. Who doesn’t like a compliant throat when all is said and done, especially when all the said-ing and done-ing can be done with minimal pain and discomfort?
Even better news is that the blood tests came back, and it appears I have no dreadful terminal disease or underlying debilitating medical condition, which came as a relief given some of the enormously attractive conditions my doctor bandied around when we sat in his office on Monday. All I have - all I have! Oh the understatement in those three little words - is a nasty, wretched little virus that has laid waste to my throat, given my arthritic-like sensations in my hands and legs, and itchiness where there should be itchiness.... and thankfully that foul little creation of hell is on it’s way out of my system thanks to the wonders of modern medicine...
....... and lots of rest, aided and abetted by the programs or music contained on the three discs shown - Dollhouse is a great new sci-fi/freak your head drama from the mind of Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy and Angel;
The Big Bang Theory is a welcome return to hilarious form by the creator (Chuck Lorre) of one of my favourite US sitcoms of all time, Dharma and Greg....
....while Edward Sharpe is a trippy-hippy pop singer with some wholly original, melodically-infectious tunes to his credit.
All I can say is thank god for pop culture when all you have is depleted strength, a bed and no where much to go....
