Holding the Reins of the Runaway Extrovert 2013: Day 49 - Monday tweets are full of snark

Yes Monday and I tweeted about it ... and it got retweeted.

Sweet.

Also got this fabulous package from Kerry Ward, containing a card marking Lithuanian National Day (16 February) she'd made herself and a CD of Lithuanian music + a book on Lithuania. Such a brilliant, quirky gift and I ADORED and LOVED it. She's such a wonderful, fun friend!!

(In case you're wandering, it's all do with a quip that I made on the phone once where I said I have 4 special days in the year - my birthday, Steve's birthday, Christmas and Eurovision. Thinking I needed a 5th, I selected at random Lithuanian National Day and Kerry remembered! Fabulous!!)

Holding the Reins of the Runaway Extrovert 2013: Day 48 - Big brunch, small afternoon tea

BIG brunch at Kelbys - their big brekkies are HUGE  and delicious - then back to Steve's to write a blog post on Piper for my friend Kevin in Melbourne's blog (new gig every fortnight) before a nap with Steve cuddled around me (BLISS), then two blog posts and some Shutterstock photo sourcing for work ... and some orange cordial and my mum's fruitcake (she made one for Steve at Christmas too, which thrilled me no end!).

Steve drinks his tea out of one of the Monster Threads mugs I got him for Christmas

Holding the Reins of the Runaway Extrovert 2013: Day 47 - Raining the not

Brunch with Fahmi in Sydney park where we had yummy bacon and egg rolls at Gemma's kiosk and got caught with a kids birthday party, 1000 dogs and lots of walkers (not zombies! LOL) under shelter during a torrential downpour ... that became brilliant sunshine and blue skies.

Divinely yummy strawberry muffin

Holding the Reins of the Runaway Extrovert 2013: Day 46 - Lovely sweet Zara (and a random shot of sunrise)

Two more shots of my lovely niece Zara - the first one is her all dressed up for her fun, relaxed dance classes where they're just encouraged to move and have fun and the second one is her riding her bike at Yamba when Helen and Shayne and Zara got away got a quick two day mini-break.

And here's two sunrise shots I took out walking with Fahmi today.

Holding the Reins of the Runaway Extrovert 2013: Day 45 - Happy Valentine's Day my love

I am an old fashioned romantic and thankfully so is Steve.

So he went to all the trouble to drive back a day early from Bathurst to spend Valentine's night with me. While we both had issues getting up to Newtown by 7 - trains once again went awry while Steve encountered more traffic than normal - he picked me up just after 7.30 and we made it to one of ur favourite restaurants, Sherpas Kitchen just before our booked time of 8.

It was a lovely night. Lots of time to talk, drink wine, eat Momos and luxuriate in each other's company.

Bliss ... and yes very romantic.

Clowning around in the office

Holding the Reins of the Runaway Extrovert 2013: Day 44 - Run ... to the theatre!

Off to see a play at New Theatre that Fahmi said started at 8.

Trains went to crap but I finally made it by 7.15 to his place then we dashed to Pastizzi Cafe for dinner, which is across the road from the theatre and noticed the footpath outside the theatre empty at 7.40.

Uh-oh!

So Fahmi rushed across the road, got inside just before doors slammed shut, grabbed the tickets and I gobbled down the last of my YUMMY octopus salad and raced across to join him.

Turns out MilkMilkLemonade, which was outrageously funny with giant talking kittens, a gay 12 year old farmhand and hilarious song and dance sessions - LOVED IT!! - started at 7.30.

But we got inside in time, enjoyed a clever witty marvellous play and were on our way, via the Union Hotel for a drink (it was trivia night) by 9.15.

Holding the Reins of the Runaway Extrovert 2013: Day 42 - OWWWW!

I don't know what it was but I woke up this morning feeling decidedly unwell.

I went in to work because I had a ton of stuff to get done but finally admitted defeat and went home about 12.30 to sleep the afternoon away.

Grabbing some Aspro Clears on the way home, I also grabbed a Creme Egg, yes an Easter Creme Egg because dammit Coles were selling them and I felt awful and I wanted comfort food ... and ... and ...

Suffice to say I didn't end up eating till I felt better but it sure was nice to hold it ... and much later on eat it naturally ...

Holding the Reins of the Runaway Extrovert 2013: Day 41 - Brunch, lunch and dinner

So much eating.

Quick brunch before Steve rushed off to get ready to go to the Australian Chamber Orchestra at Noemi's Cafe in my complex.

Then lunch at Taylor Thai (in Motto building where Waz lives) with Ian...

and then dinner with Aidan and my guy ... pizza and episodes of Fringe.

Now to diet!

Holding the Reins of the Runaway Extrovert 2013: Day 40 - Brunch!

A gloriously chilled day.

Holding the Reins of the Runaway Extrovert 2013: Day 39 - Open Air Cinema bliss

Unlike our last outing, this time the weather was perfect, and more importantly we got to see the movie!

Unfortunately I forgot to email Steve the tickets so getting there early did him no good and we couldn't go in till I got there at 6.45pm.

Still we found a table to sit at - some lovely people made room at the extra tables near the entrance - and found good seats up the back (although the grey bucket seats don't give you enough support so I sat forward all night) and the movie while lacking did have considerable numbers of funny bits (I Give It a Year; Steve loved it more than me).

But a gorgeous night and fab train ride home.

Peanut cheesecake - YUM!!

Isn't he handsome?
