Swimming Pretty in the Glass-Half-Full 2012: Day 155 - Jason is in da house!

My lovely friend Jason from Brizvegas and I caught up for a day of movies and food and lots of indepth and fun talking. It got truncated a little so he could catch up with a new Sydney-based love interest but that was fine because we still got to see a fab French movie, Declaration of War, ate a delicious brunch, lunch at Happy Chefwalked up and down King Street shopping and stopping for drinks at Coopers and Zanzibar... and besides when all is said and done, I want Jason to be happy so yielding time for him to see this guy is more than worth it.

A wonderful fabulous day with a special awesome friend.

Swimming Pretty in the Glass-Half-Full 2012: Day 42 - Early Valentines Day

Sadly my gorgeous guy is going to be away in Bathurst on Valentines Day itself so we decided to mark the occasion - save for the gifts which will be exchanged either the night before, or very early on the morning of before he leaves for Bathurst - by having...

Drinks at Coopers hotel (King Street)  in the old bar downstairs where we scored seats right on the window and drank our wine.

Then we went to see The Artist at Dendy Cinemas which was magical, amazing and a joy to watch. I have never been so totally absorbed in a movie as I was with this one. Well not for a long time. (Thankfully we bought the tickets early because when we went to go into the session, after buying our yummy Serendipity chic top ice creams naturally, the line stretched out of Dendy onto the street! Crazy!) Holding my guy's hand also makes any movie a joy to watch.

The movie got out at 8.50 and by 9pm we were seated outside at Delhi o Delhi, my favourite Indian restaurant in Sydney. The food is always superb, the service is attentive and friendly without being overbearing and it's fun to watch the world go by on Erskineville Road. We had a beautiful romantic night together. It was the perfect Valentines Day. Perfect.

No not desserts... deserts... sandy yummy goodness.

Turns out they had dessert after all. Galub jamun deliciousness! Bliss...

Hands Full of Glitter and Tofu : 2011 Day 279 - Flick It, Flick It Good!

After a long lazy day at home - first day of annual leave - when the main focus of the day was preparing for the house inspection (much cleaning was done Wednesday night in preparation), going through the very brief inspection and then napping.....

The day finished perfectly with a viewing of the movie, Crazy Stupid Love @ Dendy Newtown (which was superb) with Fahmi and my gorgeous guy, then dinner at Coopers Hotel (burgers all around!) which, unlike most school nights wasn't rushed because none of us had work the next day. Perfect!
