Big Move today!

With the help of my good friends Peter and Waz, and my gorgeous guy, and my housemate's friends, Simon and Kevin, we managed to move the three big bookcases, the fridge, the washing machine, TV cabinet, DVD/CD towers, beds in about an hour and a half! Fast, efficient and with so much help, not debilitatingly exhausting for once..... well not as bad as normal....

Chux Magic Eraser...my precioussssssssssssssss

We thanked the gang by taking them all (with the exception of Kevin) to lunch at a nearby cafe - looking oh- so-glam in our sweaty moving gear! - and then my gorgeous guy, my house mate and I returned to the apartment to start the Big Clean. As always, despite all the pre-cleaning, this was arduous and exhausting, broken only by an excursion to Bunnings for paint to fix some holes in the loungeroom wall (we did get to eat sausages and ice cream at Bunnings so it wasn't all work and no pleasure!), and if I never have to scrub tile grouting again, it will be too soon!

We finally called it quits about 6.30 or so with pretty much only the kitchen to go (stopping on the way to take a photo of my guy and I at the spot on the balcony where we first kissed at New Years, 2008/09.....awwww.... and a final sunset shot from the balcony, looking towards the City) - and in the process of doing all the cleaning developed what will likely be an enduring love affair with Chux Magic Eraser, which magically cleans off all the annoying marks on the walls - and my gorgeous guy and I headed off, after a much needed shower, to the Union pub for a yummy dinner with my good friend, Fahmi, to the accompaniment of Bledisloe Cup watching and lots of noise! It was so lovely to get out of the house, and not be moving boxes/furniture of cleaning, but we only lasted till 9pm before we got so tired that a date with the bed seemed the only reasonable option.
