What a fun night!

I have loved Janeane Garofalo since I first saw her in The Truth About Cats and Dogs, and my admiration for her, her talent, and her wonderful sense of humour only grew as I saw her in other movies, TV shows and read about her liberal views (quite akin to my own) that enunciated beautifully some of the bizarre things going on in modern society such as the trivialisation of TV news. So imagine my excitement - go on imagine how excited I was and then double and triple it! - when I found out she was in Sydney to perform some shows with a fellow comedian and long time friend, Greg Behrendt. Tickets were bought pronto, and off to the Playhouse we tripped, ever so gaily (I can't do butch if I try), to see Janeane and Greg....

..... and as expected we laughed our tits off. While it was messy, it was totally worth it with Greg hysterically describing his new found passionate love affair with Tim Tams, and Janeane warning against wearing thongs because they limit how fast you can run during a zombie attack or an apes uprising (they're on horse back right?). I laughed out loud and often.

We followed up this chortle-fest with sushi at Sushi Train in Newtown. YUM!
