Holding the Reins of the Runaway Extrovert 2013: Day 307 - Sculptures by the Sea ... and "I'm MELTING!"

Finally made it to Sculptures by the Sea (which runs from Tamarama Beach to Bondi Beach), parking at Clovelly Bowling Club and walking past Bronte Beach to start the walk at Tamarama.

Not the best year with a lack of the colourful, quirky sculptures of old but still fun and we really enjoyed ourselves, bar the intense 33C heat (thank goodness for sunscreen!) and LOVED the complimentary A/C Hyundai car rides back tom Tamarama from Bondi, which meant we only had a sort 10 minute walk back to Fahmi's car which was wonderful because we were tired and hot and ready for lunch.

Ingo captured this HOT guy on the way back to the car at Bronte Beach ...

Stopped off at Clovelly Bowling Club (where Ian has his birthdays) for chips and ginger beer before trying to park at Coogee for fish 'n' chips where there wasn't a place to park at all and so we headed to the fish 'n' chips place @ Alexandria and ate lunch at Erko oval.

We left the guys to drive home from there and walked back down Mitchell Road before driving back to Steve's place for the rest of the day which thankfully included a nap ...

It was also Aidan's birthday so we made the last minute decision to see what he was doing - home alone watching TV after getting back from Canberra - so we shouted him pizzas, wine and Connoisseur Murray River Salted Caramel ice creams, on which we jauntily placed a candle and made the night as special as we could for him.

Holding the Reins of the Runaway Extrovert 2013: Day 306 - Lamb roast and Zara

A fairly chilled day.

Steve left about 9.30 to get a haircut in Newtown and I swam 1km in the pool then we headed across to his place for a delightfully lazy day. 'Twas very nice :)

Then Steve got busy in the kitchen making delicious pumpkin soup, a fantastic roast dinner and strawberries in strawberry jelly with the last of his caramel pecan ice cream (his first ever batch). He LOVES cooking and so apart from setting the table, I just sat back and checked Twitter etc while he toiled away.

We spent the night watching a wildlife doc on lions and some other docos on SBS.

Steve got this wonderful dish for $8 at Rozelle Markets a week ago. This was its first use.

And Helen sent me some lovely shots of Zara in her dance recital outfit. SOOO cute!

Holding the Reins of the Runaway Extrovert 2013: Day 305 - Off to the "flicks" with Ian and Ingo and my gorgeous guy

Off to my cinema home away from home Dendy to see Blue Jasmine.

Alas the night didn't start all that well when I found out my free tickets for renewing my membership lapse after 3 months and so no free tickets anymore. I calmly but with emphasis pointed out all the times the projector hadn't worked lately and that I was almost done going there and the manager did offer me one free ticket. Better than nothing so I took it but I shall be seeing more and more movies at Event because I can get cheap tickets there for a start ALL THE TIME.

Anyway that mess over, I loitered in a Better Read Than Dead (photographed some books I'd like to buy later on) and HUM, waiting for Ian, Ingo and Steve to arrive ...

What?! NOOOOO ... how dare this musical schlock master defile ABBA!

Had dinner at MooBurgers afterwards which was YUMMY.

And Zara, God bless her, pulled a silly face for me! She's so funny!
