Off to the plastic surgeon to get the stitches out - painless and quick - and I ended up with a plaster strip to give the patch of skin extra strength till Saturday when I would take it off.

(Was surprised that after resenting the whole process that I suddenly got sentimental about recording this moment in my life.)

The big white bandage came off today and revealed... a railroad track of black stitches down my face.

Now to get me a teeny tiny train set...

Or better still, start washing it and drying it 3 times a day and applying the special Corslig gel.

Yep I may run with the latter option.

Big day!

My keratocanthoma on the face came off AT LAST and as a favour to Valerie and Rose at work, I live tweeted the whole thing (bar of course the surgery itself where my face was covered with a cloth that covered my face save for the "skinblob" itself) and it turned the 45 minutes of waiting for the doctor, and 10 minutes for the local anaesthetic to be applied.
