Sitting here wondering if I'm Pollyanna or Eeyore - Day 145: ACO- DACO!

After a delicious home cooked brunch - Steve is so talented! - off to see ACO and The Presets present Timeline, a 40,000 year look at the history of music. It was beautifully done with everything from Ghanaian and Chinese drumming to classical music and jazz and pop music, all linked together so you could see how one music form gave rise to another.

We caught the train just as darkness was falling and Vivid was kicking into high gear ...

And here's a shot of my gorgeous soon to be 5 year old niece Zara ready for a special fund raising walk for close friends of my sister ...

Holding the Reins of the Runaway Extrovert 2013: Day 300 - Some kulcha and yummy Chinese

Off to the Australian Chamber Orchestra with Steve and friends Alan and Pieta, with lunch to kick things off at East Chinese restaurant.

Yummy food, fabulous weather and view and great company.

Steve and I at St Peters station

Lunch at East, Circular Quay with Alan and Pieta

Walked into Opera House via temporary stage for 40th anniversary concert in forecourt ...

The concert hall was packed for a performance by solo cellist Steven Isserlis who was amazing playing a piece by Dvorak and signed CDs and programs afterwards (Pieta and I got in line while Steve bought the CD). I forgot his name was Steven and at one point wanted MY Steve to look up and said "Look here Steve!", only realising at the last minute how over-familiar I sounded with Mr Isserlis! LOL Got a great pic though :)

They had an exhibition of Opera HOuse photographs outside Customs House which we checked out on the way to get Steve's mail.

And what day would be complete without a photo of Jordan, my adorbs little niece?

Holding the Reins of the Runaway Extrovert 2013: Day 292 - Out and about with Sean

My lovely friend from Vancouver Sean came to Australia for work - 1 1/2 weeks in Perth - and spent his first weekend in Sydney.

So Steve and I headed in early, meet him at 10.30 for brunch which we had at the cafe at the Museum of Contemporary Art on a perfect cool but sunny Spring day and then walked around Circular Quay to the Opera House then around and through the Botanical Gardens - stopping for a snack on Art Gallery Road at a cafe on the edge of the Domain before dropping Sean off for his BridgeClimb.

Awesome day and he's so much to hang with!

Home for a brief nap and chill and then it was time for Waz's birthday dinner with drinks at his place beforehand before walking up to Newtown to meet Sean at the railway station at Newtown and walking down to a funky new bar housed in the Betta Meats shop ... loved it!

Dinner was Delhi o' Delhi and then we wandered down for some drinks at The Imperial so Sean could experience Priscilla's place and help Waz pick up a guy (no luck on the latter front alas).

Present from Steve and I
