Sitting here wondering if I'm Pollyanna or Eeyore - Day 144: Kookaburras and yummy dinners

After a long lazy lie-in, Steve headed home for a few hours while I blogged and Ebayed and spent quality balcony time with my favourite Kookaburra ...

Had some fun on Twitter ...

And ate a delicious dinner cooked by my beautiful guy on a quiet Saturday evening in at his place ...

Sitting here wondering if I'm Pollyanna or Eeyore - Day 102: Brunch with Fahmi

Fahmi was waiting to get his car serviced in Croydon so texted us very early 8.30am asking if we wanted to do brunch.

So a couple of very quick showers later - we were still in bed at the time he texted - we zoomed across to Summer Hill, where he'd caught the train to and had brunch at this fab quirky cafe he'd found which he called the Drugstore Cafe because of its huge neon sign (still no idea what it's actually called).

Menu small but food YUMMMOOO ++++ (my meal was chickpeas, smashed avocados, pomegranates and lime on sourdough ... SO delicious!!)

Holding the Reins of the Runaway Extrovert 2013: Day 187 - Brunch and dinner with Fahmi

Checked out a fabulous new cafe at Marrickville called West Juliett which was AWESOME.

I had the best French Toast ever with yummy young rhubarb, ricotta cheese and salted caramel accompanied by apple/pineapple/lime/basil juice ... so many deliciously unique taste sensations ...

Then checked out some street graffiti on a building at the end of Juliett Street that is being developed into 15 apartments ...

Then Fahmi and I went to order a fab cake in Marrickville for Steve's 50th birthday shindig, discovering fab bookstore Urchin Books in the process, as well as stopping for some Asian groceries too ... then home for a nap, some blogging, an episode of Defiance (season 1, ep 12) before heading out to see The Look of Love at Dendy followed by dinner at Sherpas Kitchen with Fahmi (he'd just seen World War Z) ...
