Holding the Reins of the Runaway Extrovert 2013: Day 299 - Carolyn, brunch and second hand fun!

We kicked off the day with croissants and juice for brunch which I got up at IGA before heading off for shopping at Rozelle Markets where I bought some cheap socks, a $5 bio on Judy Garland by Mel Torme and a $2 Christmas teddy bear holding a gift.

So much fun and finished all that shopping off with lunch at the Rosebud Cafe where we had Persian Mint Juice (mint, OJ, pineapple juice and ice) and burgers. Awesome day.

Then we dropped Carolyn at the airport and headed home for a nap. Steve wasn't feeling particularly good so he ended up sleeping for 4 hours, getting up around 6.45 so I blogged, read etc. Then we stayed in and had party pies and sausage rolls for dinner.

Off to Rozelle to the markets with Fahmi to ferret through all manner of second hand goods.

My loot? A copy of ABBA's "Money Money Money" single and a 1984 copy of Saturday Evening Post showing while my gorgeous guy got a lavish coffee table book on Beethoven, worth $130 for $30 and some very cute retro tablecloths. He was one happy camper.

Then we had brunch at Piccolo Padre out the back - our waitress was lovely - picked up some French patisseries on the way home for arvo tea and headed home.

Then we watched a very close hawks v Adelaide Crows that the hawks only just won - oh the stress! - and I drank a whole bottle of wine throughout (Steve stuck to light beers) which meant I was in no fit state to get the Crust pizzas for dinner (thought I was till I bumped into furniture and walls going to the toilet!)
