Sitting here wondering if I'm Pollyanna or Eeyore - Day 30: Lunch, movies and reading

Busy day at home with a lovely relaxing stop for a salad lunch while watching Ellen ...

Somewhere in the afternoon, my sister Rachel sent me a shot of nephew Bodhi and niece Jordan "reading" together, which was gorgeous ...

And then out to Newtown to see The Book Thief with Fahmi, Ingo and Paulo ...

I am supposed to look excited but think I appear manic instead

Holding the Reins of the Runaway Extrovert 2013: Day 324 - At the movies with Ingo

Met Ingo at 4.15 to see Mystery Road at Dendy for just $6!! Great movie though very intense and fab to catch up with him!

(Left early to get Entertainment Weekly mag at Magnation, Doctor Who Christmas ornaments at Art on King and another December Diamonds guy at Holy Sheet!, the last 2 thanks to birthday money from Mum and Dad)

Holding the Reins of the Runaway Extrovert 2013: Day 310 - Swim with the fishes

Thankfully no swimming with the fishes in the traditional mob sense!

After a busy day doing the usual, went to Clovelly about 5.15 with Fahmi and Ingo for a swim and snorkel at the huge rockpool there. It was freezing at first - Ingo brought his wetsuit! - but I got used to used it and was able to see all sorts of amazing things - octopi hidden in a crevice, fish like Silver Drummers and Crimson Banded Wrasse and Blue Gropers and a diving cormorant who went hurtling through the water less than a metre from us. It was awesome, refreshing and a ton of fun.

Holding the Reins of the Runaway Extrovert 2013: Day 144 - Happy Birthday Susie and Ian

Big fabulous birthday-a-thon today!

Started off with my dear friend Susie's birthday at St George Motor Boat Club in Sans Souci, just next door to where I lived when I first came to Sydney.

It was a gorgeous sunny day, the company was wonderful, we got Susie a giant Piglet and Winnie the Pooh foil balloon (as well as the first season of Grimm) and the food was quite delicious.

A wonderful, fun birthday lunch.

Then we sped off to Clovelly for a spot of bowling to celebrate Ian's birthday at Clovelly Bowling Club where we have been for the last 2 years.

I didn't as well as normal, which is to say not very well, either undershooting or overshooting but we had so much fun that it really didn't matter.

Steve bowled the play of the day - SOOOO close to the jack! Amazing!

Then off to Thai Cathriya restaurant, after relaxing in the bar area at the Club with vending machine chips and wine, for yummy (if a little overpriced) Thai food.

Brilliant day and night ...
