Hands Full of Glitter and Tofu : 2011 Day 42 - Back to Mexico Baby!
We're off to Melbourne tonight again!
I love the place, and any excuse will do. But as you all know, the excuse in this case is special, wonderful and fabulous all rolled up into one glittering multi-coloured bundle o' fun and joy - the wedding of close friends Andrew (old house mate) and Monika. Yes, a major obstacle presented itself this week when poor Monika was knocked off her back and broke one of her legs, but the show is going on, albeit in a stripped down way with the service likely to not be at the church at 5pm but bundled in with the reception at 7 pm, which will in turn not run for as long. I do feel for Monika especially that the service won't be quite what she'd planned, but in the end, they will be surrounded by family and friends and we will make both her and Andrew feel as loved as they are, and that will be the thing that, in the end, defines the wedding.
Hmm, that sounds like a tag line from a Hallmark card? I may use that yet....
Postscript : So Virgin Blue managed to do it again. The flight left 1.5 hours late so instead of arriving at 9.45, strolling into Chinatown for a late bite to eat at 10.30, we arrived at 11.30 at the hotel or so, ate hot slices of pizza at Pepperoni's, which was yummy but clearly designed for late club goers to eat at when they're drunk.... in bed very late which meant we started off the big wedding day exhausted. Not happy Virgin, not happy at all.....
