365 Pink Feather Boas All in a Row - Day 32 : Up Up and Away

Off to the movies! (And not a haunted house althought the shots above, all grainy and dark, and featuring disembodied hands, may have you thinking otherwise!)

I had a girls night out on the town with my bestie from work, Sammi and she & I started with yummy sushi at Sushi Train - sadly not a sashimi-bearing locomotive insight... is that false advertising? - before I grabbed some lollies and an Easyway Taro Tea with pearls, and Sammi..... well Sammi, junk food junkie that she is, grabbed a massive (several families could have lived happily for years in the empty carton) tub of popcorn, a choc top, and a drink so large I think several animals in the vicinity were eyeing any nearby flaoting arks should she spill the drink and Noah's flood recreate itself in the lobby.....

The movie itself was a hoot - great one liners, life on the road and the quest for ever more frequent flyer miles, knowing comments about the harshness of reality and the dreams of escape from the often grinding ordinariness of life, and the attraction of love and romance, and whether you can exist without it, and does it's lack necessarily mean your life is poorer than your coupled friends and family? It did leave Sammi and I feeling very sad and alone at the end, which is odd since we have both got the most wonderful partners, but I think that was simply our reactions to a less than Hollywood ending, something which is always a plus in any movie....

One thing the movie did leave me with was a nagging need to fly somewhere anywhere and add to my treasure trove of frequent flyer miles... or should I say kilometres?
