Project 289 - Day 200 (Saturday 3 October 2009) : Berry-cose Veins, Among Other Berry Nice Puns

It was a wet and rainy start to the October long weekend but when is this weekend ever anything BUT wet and rainy? Saying a big "Ya-Boo!" to the inclement weather, my beautiful guy and I finally set off, after sleeping in, for beautiful quaint Berry on the South Coast.

The drive took us about three hours, partly due to the weather, partly due to disgusting holiday traffic around Shellharbour, but mostly due to the fact that I missed the turnoff to Stanwell Tops, and thus our chance to quickly and easily drive across the Cliff Bridge (above), which we belatedly reached after turning off the freeway at Bulli, backtracking, u-turning, driving back south across the bridge, before continuing the trip to what felt like an increasingly remote destination.
