My annual homage to the window displays in Newtown which aren't as numerous or as much fun this year for some reason ... all shots taken while walking in the  early morning with Waz ...

And Carolyn sent me a shot of my lovely niece Stella off to her graduation from primary school ...

Sitting here wondering if I'm Pollyanna or Eeyore - Day 308: Melbourne Day 2 - Happy Birthday Carolyn / Melbourne Cup

A busy but wonderful day that started with Steve and I helping to clean off all the seats outside and sweep up the courtyard - had a rather too close an encounter with a large spider lurking in the chairs which gave me a fright! - and running errands to pick up alcohol etc before everyone arrived about 11.30-12 for one of those fabulously relaxed Montague get togethers that I love so much.

My horse didn't win - sadly it was one of the two that died on the day - but I had a brilliant time talking to everyone, enjoy the mild weather and enjoying being part of the family before Darren and Melissa and kids drove us to the airport.
