365 Pink Feather Boas All in a Row - Day 140 : Fisher-Price, Sushi...and a Gnome Called Ulysses
I took an annual leave day to stop myself from exploding from stress.
I am betting after that description you am glad I did! Yes it would look momentarily spectacular to see the skies of Erskineville light up like a glitter-packed supernova, and no doubt I may even make the news. but the end result of exploding like that is body parts scattered across hald a neighbourhood, and while I would like to be noticed, it's not like that!
So to avoid saddling my estate, such as it is, with an expensive clean up bill, I decided to take a Mental Health Day (approved by my boss) and sleep in (TICK!), chat with a close friend, Justin (TICK!), amble around Bondi Junction Westfield mall buying toys for my niece, Zara, my yet-to-be-born nephew, Brody, and the twins whose birthday my gorgeous guy and I will be attending tomorrow (TICK!) and spend a languid, unhurried 45 minutes eating sushi at Gari on the top floor of the mall.
Then I went home, had a nap after reading (DOUBLE BLISS on a cold, rainy day), spoke with my yummy guy, then with Justin, surfed the web and watched more Flash Forward (cool new show I love) before my guy came back from Bathurst and I flew into his arms (well after I drove to his place, walked down the driveway, up the stairs to his unit, knocked on his door, walked through it and ..... well then I flew into his arms!)
Oh and the gnome?
Here he is.
No reason for his presence.
Its Friday....why not?
