Hands Full of Glitter and Tofu : 2011 Day 157 - Yeah Yeah Teddy Bear

In the continuing series on my world and what makes it up - trust me it is a continuing series and avidly followed by millions..... in my mind - I present to you my teddy bears.

I have been a teddy bear obsessive ever since I was given Big Teddy, my mother's enormous childhood teddy bear, and Little Teddy (yes I was rather less imaginative as a very small child; that came later in life), and while this has been supplanted in the last few years by my plush moose collection, I still love my bears.

So the one at the very left, almost falling off the cupboard was bought in a toy shop in Leura about 2 years ago with my friend Kerry / the caramel brown one peeking out from the back with the red nose was bought about 3 years ago in a now defunct gay-run party supplies shop on King Street while shopping with my friend Lizzie from work (he smells of chocolate -YUM!) / the one with the ribbon around his neck was free when I bought about $120 worth of antique crockery for my boyfriend for Christmas 2010 / and the bear in blue and the one in the green jumper belonged to my lovely Auntie Liz.

The ones pictured are all special because they were either bought with someone close to me, represent a particular fun day or belonged to my much loved, departed Great Aunt who died at 101 in August 2009, with a large collection of teddy bears, all of which found new homes with her great nieces and nephews (I grabbed two so they'd have company; yep ridiculously sentimental and anthropomorphic even at my age).
