Swimming Pretty in the Glass-Half-Full 2012: Day 322 - COLDPLAY
BIG DAY.
Off to The Shire to see Susie for brunch at cafe Twelve in Gymea - delicious lemon pepper chicken salad - and some shopping at Baysics (got these great red cubes - heavy to carry home on train!). Lovely catch up!
Then home for a nap, some blogging, and then COLDPLAY!
Steve bought the tickets to the concert at Allianz Stadium for my birthday and we had an AMAZING time. Train to Central, walked up Devonshire Street, dinner at Mohr Fish (got one of the window tables - miracle) and the Sichuan Pepper Prawns were DIVINE before walking across to concert.
Missed the supports acts - Temper Trap and the Pierces - and took a while to find our seats with 50,000 thronging through the concourses making getting anywhere a sardine-packed challenge, but so worth all of it.
They were brilliant, the wristbands I had heard so much about made the stadium look spectacular, and "Clocks", as expected was a total highlight, as were the fireworks and the amazing stage with five giant circular screens.
Best part was sharing it with Steve who loved it too.
AWESOME NIGHT! Awesome, awesome, awesome!!!
Bought a program - I buy programs for every concert I attend, I just do - and Steve bought me a DVD of the tour and a tshirt. Yay! |
Before it all kicked off ... |
Mexican wave yeah! |
Glowing in the dark |
Glowing together |
Fireworks? Yes it's a Sydney concert! LOL |
The stadium empties but we're so happy. GREAT NIGHT! |
