Swimming Pretty in the Glass-Half-Full 2012: Day 190 - Happy Birthday Zara!

Started off the day nice and early with brunch at cafe 2204 - the most luscious baked-in-a-pan breakfasts - with my guy and Fahmi before heading down the road a little to the Addison Road Markets. They have grown into the most wonderful markets that specialise in organic foods - cooked and fruit & veges - second hand goods (books, antiques, clothes) and art & crafts. Very much like the markets on the Far North Coast where I am from and reflecting the ethos of the area. I ended grabbing some socks, a huge homemade meringue, a smurf and book by Gabriela Garcia Marquez for $7.

Chorizo in a pan awesomeness!

Loved their toilet walls!

So very cool ... and I learnt stuff

... and I can play games!

Back home to my guy's to do a blog entry on ted, a movie we saw last night, before reading an issue of Entertainment Weekly, napping and eating a giant meringue I bought at the markets (with my guy). Contemplated going to see Not Suitable For Children but decided against it and had a quiet night at home, washing clothes for the week (livin' it up baby! Woohoo!)

... and it was my niece Zara's third birthday! After celebrating in Alstonville yesterday with her grandparents and aunt and uncle, she was snapped today by my sister Helen (her mum) at the Suns game on the Gold Coast where they live.

The Suns are the Gold Coast's AFL team and with Zara's dad being Victorian, they end up at their games more often than they don't. Zara loves getting her face painted!

Zara waits her turn to run through the obstacle course

Learning to tackle.

** Oh and a massive Twitter milestone! I made it to 500 followers at 12.53pm today! That's exciting especially since I have gone to a great deal of trouble to cull out the spammers, companies and pointless followers. So 500, and now beyond followers which is great!

Hopefully it will motivate me to get the novel finally published!

Oh and I tweeted about how warm Steve's lounge room was and someone favourites it.

Always nice!
