Swimming Pretty in the Glass-Half-Full 2012: Day 160 -

Another day of unending rain so we didn't go to Lennox Head for brunch or the markets and battened down the hatches at Mum and Dad's and had the loveliest day anyway. After all we're not in Alstonville for the things we do but the people we're with and I love hanging out with my family.

The (early) birthday cards for Zara (left) and Bodhi (right)

Presents - Zara (left) and Bodhi (right)

Helen rugged up with Zara and Bodhi watching kids videos on YouTube

Having a conversation with the always animated Bodhi

Then I took over....

The videos were fun and lovely to snuggle for a bit with the cutest niece and nephew in the world

Tickle time with dad!

Zara holding hands with Bodhi

Up the street for DVDs - Bodhi got Shrek the Third

Zara got The Lion King - here Helen is being as  excited as Bodhi is about his rented movie

He loved carrying it around

Zara watching TV (she had a bandaid on that she'd put on herself - nowhere near the actual cut!)

Watching TV with her Nanna (my mum)

My sister Helen makes the BEST Anzac biscuits... so chewy! YUMMMM!

My Nanna trying to get Bodhi's attention

He finally looks around...

Starts chatting to Nanna...

... and flashes her that fabulous smile

Playing Rummiking

... and eating (as we always do)
Everyone huddled together on a cold rainy day

No I am not cheating by looking at Steve's tiles

I was really concentrating hard on my next move (I won the first game! It was all downhill from there)

Everyone watching the game

Steve pretending to have a Keratoacanthoma (like the one just cut off my face)... he's so cheeky.

They love each other's company (for the most part) and do everything together

Rachel helping Steve with his next move
Tried a panorama shot of everyone playing Rummiking but discovered it abhors movement of any kind... which is why my brother Steve appears faceless.
Michael on YouTube patrol

The kids get so engrossed in the videos

While we were playing Bodhi climbed up on the seat and looked at me... so cute

... and back down the chair

Bodhi and my brother Steve

"What you looking at?"

Stickers!

My sister Rachel and husband Michael (Bodhi's parents)

Bodhi unwrapping his gift

Zara unwrapping her's

She got an triple pack of Elmo books with an audio plug-in, a small Elmo toy and 3 other books

Bodhi got a Thomas the Tank Engine triple pack of books, a small Cookie Monster toy and a beautiful multi-coloured winter jacket we bought at markets in Easter in the Southern Highlands

The chaotic aftermath of present opening

(Hopefully) sharing their presents

Everyone watching the presents getting played with (my dad and Michael in the background)

Bodhi tries on the jacket which is only just the right size

He looks very cute in it

Rachel reading one of Bodhi's books to him

The chaos of children opening gifts

Curry for dinner! YUM!

My brother Steve and his fiancee Amie leave for the night
