Hands Full of Glitter and Tofu : 2011 Day 104 - Brunch and Shopping With Waz
One of the great things about having a week off at home was being able to see good friends for more than a quick chat on the train - something Waz and I do most evenings coming home from the City - or a quick catch up one night between leaving work and sleeping. Don't get me wrong - I love and value those times but delightful though they are, they are always constrained by the ceaseless, remorseless march of time. You always have to be somewhere else, afterwards doing something else, whereas this week, and today in particular, I had no agenda apart from seeing Warren.....
.... and so, after a slow walk up through the backstreets of Erko and Newtown, during which I saw this fantastically coloured house (see above), we were able to have a long, chilled lunch at Cafe C in King Street - a good thing too as the kitchen 'lost' our orders and we waited 45 minutes for food of any description to appear! Boy was the waiter lucky he was cute and full of life! - and meander up and down King Street shopping for clothes, shoes and books and get home when we got home.
Simple as that and a real gift to have one of our shopping times of old, just spending time with each other...
