After having to cancel his birthday party 2 weeks ago due to illness, we finally made it to Marrickville for drinks at Girl on a Swing micro bar and dinner at Bau Truong vietnamese restaurant.
It was a perfect night. The bar, which operates as Marrickville Road during the day, was a delight from start to finish: the mural on the wall, the funky vibe, the yummy good value meze plate, the friendly lady who ran everything, and the fact that we could talk without shouting.

Dinner was similarly wonderful. While Matt and David could only stay for drinks - they were running in City to Surf the next day - everyone else (Waz, Fahmi, Peter, Essie, John P, Steve M, Alan and Pieta) loved the food and the cake pops, as expected, were a hit!
