Swimming Pretty in the Glass-Half-Full 2012: Day 210 - Sick enough to ...

... to have to cancel my gorgeous guy's birthday dinner.

Sadly that's what we had to do. He had been battling a cold since the weekend before, made it through his birthday dinner with me the night before but spent today in bed with a raging fever. By early afternoon, it was clear he wasn't fit for a birthday dinner with 14 people so I re-scheduled to 11 August, Waz and I picked up the cake pops from the delightful Marina (even though I wasn't feeling great myself) and Steve and I spent the night in with Thai food and my housemate and his boyfriend, which was really quite enjoyable as we caught up on Big Bang Theory episodes and the final Once Upon a Time episode for season 1.

Oh yes and we got up insanely early that morning and watched the Opening Ceremony of the London Olympics 2012 from the comfort and warmth of bed ... and slept through much of the athletes entry into the stadium. Loved the ceremony - awesome!
